Post Founder's Day Notes

Dear Scouts

Happy Founders' Day! I'm leaving the philosophizing to another future note, but here are the more important notices to note to wrap up Feb... and what's to expect for March.

1. Normalization back into Training Calendar

With Founder's Day behind our backs, it's time to return to the training programme. But those who're still missing certain tests OR proficiency badges, don't worry! please continue to approach your nearest friendly PLs or Leaders to arrange for a test date. Last week saw many happy Scouts getting closer to their attained Standards.

However, the leaders will appreciate if you guys can come in a group for your tests if possible. Also, tests will only be conducted during meeting time when there is the luxury of time. Otherwise, we may have to arrange to meet at another time (maybe even Saturday).

2. Reference for Profi Badge Scheme

Many of you have asked me what're the requirements for the profi badge schemes. Unfortunately, the leaders and your PLs aren't walking encyclopaedias, so you'll have to settle for the 01x copy of Ngee Ann Wichita Proficiency Scheme that's been made available to your TL. Please consult him on this. Or email us nicely. and in advance.

3. March Akan Datang

Starting from the next few weeks, we'll be getting everyone ready for 2 camps. The first one's the Job Week Camp that's gonna last 4d3n, starting right on Friday of the last week of school before the March Hols. Our programme will be light but you guys will be busy running around for Job Week (for the Sec 1s and uninformed, that's when we wear our uniforms and go around doing good deeds to raise funds for our activities as we're a voluntary organization).

Also, we'll be having our Official Sec 1 Tenderfoots Investiture on Saturday 14th March. Your parents will be invited as well, so before we release the official invitation please feel free to ask your parents down. It's a Ngee Ann tradition that we believe Scouting is a fulsome process that involves your family too :)

For June Camp, another 4d3n saga, it'll be much more focused on testing your training from now until then. For the very basics, we're gonna have Knots lessons for everyone. Your PLC will be arranging for you guys an exciting programme lined up for you, so watch out for this space!

OK that's enough for now! Study hard and may your Scouting interest continue to burn bright
