Scout Rally 2010 Plan

Hi Scouts!

As you all know, your mid-years are coming to an end, and it will soon be time celebrate the holidays! And there is hardly a better way to usher in the post-exam fever than to participate in the upcoming Scout Rally 2010 (= The Scout Rally 2010 is an event featuring lots of fun, good food and great games that brings together fellows like you from all around in the spirit of Scouting. You can hop by and be a part of this great event on the 22nd of May (Sat) at the Hwa Chong Institution.

Also, just as important, I will be managing one of the game stalls there and I will be needing 5 to 8 Scouts to help me out in the running of the stall throughout the event. I will be creating and managing a game that is different from the rest. So you might wonder what is this game all about? And what is your role as a volunteer helper here? I will have to be brief here, so I will only say that we will be selling do-it-yourself airplane gliders. Your key roles and responsibilities include manning the stall and facilitating in the assembly of the airplane gliders after the younger scouts have purchased them. Prior to the actual event on the 22nd of May, I will need a few hours of your time in order to put together everything that will make up our game stall. I will announce more details at our next scout meeting right after your exams in order to whip up more interest and support. So, I hope to see you there! Thanks (=

Full Scout Uniform with 100 years scarf.
Consent Form for people who have not submitted it

Reminder > Everyone is to wear the 100 years scarf. Not the unit or national scarf (red).

Kayaking Course 1* (17 April 2010)

There will be kayaking course on the 17 April 2010, Saturday.

Things to bring :
Long sleeve shirt OR normal t-shirt
Shorts
Water Bottle
Covered Shoes (MUST bring)
Towel
Baseball cap
Spectacle's retainer
Sun Block
Plastic bag for wet clothings
Extra set of dry clothing for changing. (including undergarments)
Ezlink OR coins
Lunch
FULL SCOUT UNIFORM for campfire

Venue : Pasir Ris Water Venture
Meet at : Pasir Ris Interchange at bus 403 at 9.15 AM

It will end at around 4.30 - 5.00 pm and we will go back to school then go to the gangshow. Any questions, contact your respective PLs.

fall in outside the auditorium at 3pm in your red wihchita and pe pants and bring your wichita kits,WITH YOUR WRITING MATERIALS

Friday
Fall in outside the auditorium at 2.45pm with your full uniform AND YOUR 100 YEARS SCARF and bring along your black wichita with your pe pants and also your wichita kit.Thanks

SA Gangshow

Dear Scouts,

There will be a Gangshow on 17 April, the time is not comfirmed yet. But the venue will be at St Andrews. PLC please arrange with the teachers for the transport. Attendance in compulsory and attire will be full uniform with the new national scarf.

Scouts Rally

As you all know, there will be a Scout Rally on the 22 May 2010 (saturday) at hwa chong institution from 1430hrs to 1800hrs. The Scout Rally is organized to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Scout Movement in Singapore. There will be singing of songs, flag parade and 36 stalls will be set up for learning and family bonding games in a meaningful and scout fun way. For a $5 fee, you will be able to bring along a friend or a family member and you will receive a complimentary centenary scarf (100 years scarf)(only for the first person you bring along), a commemorative event badge, a bottled drink and a coupon for stall activities. Your participation in this event is strongly encouraged and please try to bring along a friend or a family member. for those interested, you may tell your names to your respective patrol leaders or tell the PLC tomorrow. For those bringing friends or family members along, please remember to bring your $5. Thanks

For those who have received the form on kayaking 1 star, pls sign it and bring it by tomorrow and for those who have not handed up your jobweek card and money, pls bring it tomorrow and meet the PLC at the benches outside the auditorium at 3pm to submit both the form and the jobweek card and money.

REMINDER: for this friday's meeting, please remeber to bring your 100 YEARS SCARF instead of your unit scarf/national scarf(the red one). Thanks

Please fall in outside the auditorium at 3pm in your Red Wichita shirt and PE pants with your Wichita Kit. For those that do not have the Red Wichita shirt, wear your PE attire instead and remember to bring along your JOBWEEK CARD AND MONEY
Reminder: Rayfish patrol members are to tie the flagpole by 8/4, Thursday.

Fall in outside the auditorium at 2.30pm in your full uniform and bring along your Black Wichita shirt, PE pants and Wichita Kit. Those that do not have their uniforms and the Black Wichita Shirt, come in your PE attire.
